Good morning, Tyson! I don’t know if you remember Jeremy and I, but you photographed our wedding on April 25, 2009 at St. Joe’s Church in Ogden. We were wanting to view the pictures again as I want to order a few more, but I don’t know our password. Can you email it to me perhaps?

Also, I wanted to let you know that the “antique” photo you took of us (with Jeremy in the chair and myself standing next to him) always gets tons of compliments. We hung it in the entryway to our home in Las Vegas, and people always stop to admire it. It hangs next to the wedding photo of my great-great grandparents, and is exactly what we wanted. I can’t tell you how much that still means to myself and my family to have that portrait.

I hope your business is doing very well, and that you’re still enjoying being a (fantastic!) wedding photographer. I wish you all the best, and again, thank you for being there to capture our wedding.

Jamie and Alex were so great to work with. They are so laid back. It really made this wedding so much fun. The weather was looking questionable but turned out perfect. They were married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 11th, 2011 and they had their reception at the Eaglewood Event Center that evening. It was great being involved in the entire process. I got to shoot their engagement pictures, bridal pictures, wedding dinner, and their entire wedding day.

Never in all my years as a wedding photographer have I ever seen anything like this before. After cutting the cake, Jamie and Alex went to feed each other and Alex must have been a lot hungrier than anyone might have thought. He decided not to wait until Jamie had taken her fingers out of the way of his teeth before completely biting down. Please reference the pictures below for a great laugh!

I also had the privilege to work with one of my favorite wedding videographers again. Kale Fitch of Kale Fitch Productions. He is so creative and likeable. He really makes things fun. Please check out his video of the wedding here. I let him borrow my 45mm tilt shift lens for a few shots. It looks really cool with video. He also did their engagement video which you can see here.

The album turned out wonderful. They had so many pictures that they loved, we decided to do 20 album spreads instead of the standard 10. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

Some tips for attending the show:

1.  Pre-Register & Bring your tickets with you~ Bring your ticket with you will speed up the lines & help everyone get into the show quicker & easier.  If you register online you can bypass registering at the show & come to the pre-registered line.

2. Bring the Check Book~ Come prepared to book services the day of the show as many wedding vendors at this show are offering specials & discounts.  You want to get a good deal so come ready to make a decision & book your wedding professionals at the show.

3.  Bring decision makers with you~ Make sure you bring the primary decision makers with you to the show.  Whether it be your maid of honor, your mom, dad or both, & of course your fiance.  They all play big roles at your wedding & if they are footing the bill make sure they come with you to help you with all your decisions.

4.  Research~ Come knowing what it is you are looking for & what your budget is for each item. This way you won’t be overwhelmed & you will know how much you can spend for each item & you can make decisions.

5. Bring a notebook~ Make sure you bring a notebook so you can make notes about things you like, want or must have.  You will also want to get names of wedding professionals that you want to contact in the future if you don’t book with them at the show.  Many brides book after the show as well as during the show, but be sure to contact wedding vendors soon especially if you have a popular date.  (Popular dates are Friday’s or Saturday’s, especially in May, June & July and 11-11-11 will also be a popular date for 2011.)  Keep in mind that often times wedding vendors give discounts on weekdays or less busy days depending on the service they offer.  Check for any specials that may be offered.

6.  Come ready to have a GREAT Time~ Most importantly bridal shows are a time for you to have a great time.  Get ideas, book your wedding services & enjoy every second of planning your special day.
