Burton Family Picture Session – Layton, Utah

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving? Mine was great. I was able to spend some much needed time with my wife and kids. I got in some exercise. I went running on Wednesday, played flag football on Thursday, and went biking on Friday. I hurt everywhere! I went to see Warrior with the guys. It was a great movie. One of my top 10 favorites.

A few weeks ago I spent some time with the Burtons taking their family pictures. They are like family to me. It was really good to see them and catch up. Such cute kids!

Kunkel Family Picture Session – Layton, Utah

I really love the Kunkel Family. I don’t think it would be possible to take a bad picture of any of them. Dale did a great job getting his kids to smile but I shouldn’t have looked back. That is something I will never be able to delete from my memory. I also got them to sit on the cold, wet ground Fun session for sure!

Nice Family Pictures – Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah

These pictures are nice, but so is the last name of this family. Double meaning They were actually really nice, but you would have to be with that name. I met them at the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon and took them over to where the river is usually crashing down the canyon . It was completely dry. Made for a great setting even with the rain and wind. Enough from me – here are the pictures.

Erin + Joe – Engagement Session – Kaysville, Utah

I met with Erin and Joe a few weeks back to shoot their engagement session. Two very photogenic people for sure. Joe is a linebacker for the United Football League and played college football for the University of Kansas. Can you guess how Erin and Joe met? Of course Erin was a cheerleader. These two are so in love and are really down to earth. I had such a great time. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year. I am sure it will be tons of fun. The first thing my wife said when she saw these pictures was “he has HUGE arms”. I said “yeah they are bigger then Erin’s”. BTW, I am pretty jealous of Joe’s beard.

Contest time! I feel like giving away a portrait session. This can be used for an engagement session, bridal session, family session, senior session, baby session, trash the dress session, groomal session, etc. You get the idea. The session will include up to two hours of time shooting, a disk of high resolution images from the shoot and an online gallery. These sessions are normally $200.

Now the fun part. To enter you must first go to our Facebook Business Page and click on “like”. Next you will need to comment on this contest post on our Facebook Business Page and tell us why you of all people should win. And finally you need to get as many people as you can to click “like” on your comment. The comment with the most likes will win. It’s pretty simple.

Chelsey + Seth – Downtown Ogden Engagement Session

I met Chelsey and Seth at the Ogden Union Station Saturday morning. It had snowed a lot over night. I always go into situations like that hoping that we can make it work. I think we did okay. They were freezing the whole time and Seth spent most of the morning carrying Chelsey on his back so that her frozen feet would not get more wet than they did. He was a trooper and so was she. It was fun getting to know them. Chelsey likes to ride horses and Seth likes to play football and run. It looked to me like they were a perfect match and completely in love. I was honored to be their photographer. On to the pictures.

Jamie’s Bridal Session – Joseph Smith Building, Salt Lake City, Utah

I love the Joseph Smith Building. It is so elegant and beautiful. I met Jamie and her mother this morning and spent a few hours with them. It was cold outside so we had decided to do this session indoors. We did end up going out for a few shots after the sun had come out to warm things up a little. I love shooting bridal and engagement sessions because it lets us create a bond before the wedding day. Jamie will be getting hitched in just a few short weeks at the Salt Lake City, LDS Temple and I am so excited to be her wedding photographer. I love my job!

Piper – Toddler Session Part 1 – Layton, Utah

Just over a year ago we did newborn pictures of Piper. Well, she is back and she has grown. We did these in the studio this morning. She is so cute and we had so much fun. Our second session will be this afternoon as we attempt to go outdoors. It is supposed to be a little warmer today. Fingers crossed.

I hope all of you had a great Christmas/Holiday. This was one of my favorites. Our kids are at such fun ages. New Years Eve is in just a few days. I believe we will be staying home in our warm house since it is going to be really cold. It was cold this morning at 8am when I met Jamie and Alex to shoot their engagement session in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We started at the capital, inside where it was warm. That is an amazing building. Incredible architecture. Once outside, it was colder than I had thought it would be. Jamie and Alex were troopers. Although, they did complain a little

Sweet Baby James – Newborn Photography Session

Yesterday was a great day. The day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday. I braved Walmart, Toys R’ Us, Target and Sam’s Club. I also got to take pictures of sweet little baby James.
